About Us
In 1960, El Camino College faculty created the first community college AFT local in California. For more than sixty years, the Federation has been committed to improving the working conditions and learning conditions at El Camino College. 1388 members have also contributed to a broader labor movement that has sought a more just and fair world.
We are El Camino College faculty, librarians, counselors, coordinators, and nurses who work full and part-time to serve our students, our colleagues, and our surrounding communities.
We are at a pivotal moment not only in the history of our union, but in the history of our college, nation and even world. It is a moment that requires greater engagement and involvement than usual.
